Accessibility Options

Below are recommended options to explore and test based on your device and requirements

 🖥️ Built-in Operating System Filters

For most users, built-in device accessibility settings provide the most effective and reliable solution. These system-level adjustments apply across all applications, including web browsers and software platforms, without requiring additional installations.

Windows 10 / 11

  • Go to: Settings > Accessibility > Color Filters
  • Turn Color Filters ON
  • Select the appropriate filter (e.g., Tritanopia or Deuteranopia)
  • Shortcut: Press Win + Ctrl + C to quickly toggle filters on/off
macOS
  • Go to: System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Color Filters
  • Enable Color Filters
  • Choose:
    • Blue/Yellow for Tritanopia
    • Red/Green for Deuteranopia
iPhone / iPad (iOS)
  • Go to: Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Color Filters
  • Turn filters ON
  • Select the appropriate option for your needs
Android
  • Go to: Settings > Accessibility > Color and Motion > Color Correction
  • Enable Color Correction
  • Select Blue-Yellow (recommended for Tritanopia)

🌐 Web Browser Extensions (Optional) *

If you prefer to adjust only web content, or if your device does not support system-level filters, browser extensions can be a useful alternative:

  • Colorblindly (Chrome)
Applies real-time colour adjustments to web pages, with support for multiple types of colour vision deficiencies.
  • Let’s Get Colour Blind
Allows both simulation and correction of colours, with adjustable intensity settings.

💡 Additional Suggestions for Best Results
  • Test multiple settings to determine what provides the best visual clarity for your specific needs.
  • Encourage users to combine system filters with in-platform settings (e.g., contrast modes, zoom, or font adjustments where available).
  • When sharing screenshots or documentation, consider using high-contrast colour combinations to support accessibility for all users.
  • If accessibility is a frequent requirement, it may be helpful to standardise recommended settings across your team or organisation.
