Assign previously entered or submitted claims to an agreement to draw down from the Service Agreement allocated budget

Assign Claims

When a Service Agreement is created and existing claims already relate to that provider and agreement, you have the option to allocate those claims to the new agreement. Once assigned, these claims will be deducted from the budget allocated for the provider. This enables you to set up the Service Agreement for the total contract value and then allocate previous claims retrospectively as needed.

To manage claim assignments, navigate to the Service Agreement Details page. 

 

1. select the Assigned Claims tab
2. select Manage Assignment. Claims that match the Service Agreement will be listed.
3. select the claims and 'Assign'.

Note: When creating new claims for this provider and Participant, claim lines that match the Service Agreement will be automatically assigned.

If the claim line is still in an 'Entered' status, and not yet submitted, the claim amount will show as pending. The Remaining amount will be reduced by the claim amount.

The pending amount and remaining balance will display in the Budget:

 

Unassign Claims

To unassign claims from the Agreement, you can unassign in bulk via the Manage Assignment link. If there is only one claim assigned, or you only need to unassign one claim you can do this from the Assigned Claims tab:
